Doesn't it feel liberating and like a dream come true when you get a 4-hour chunk of sleep? I remember telling James, when Kasey was still waking 1-2 times a night,"I can totally handle the feedings once or twice a night. I don't even need a full night's sleep ... getting up once or twice is just fine." It's hard to even picture sleeping the whole night through ... but that will come too and you'll be so amazed and proud of your little guy (and yourself!). Those first weeks are so rough but it's only a short season, isn't it? Little ones grow so quickly. Pretty soon he'll be walking and talking and you'll be wondering where your little infant went.
